Finding the right truck, selling a construction machine or transporting equipment to the other side of the world. At Gebr. Heinhuis, that’s our daily work. Based in Almelo, we combine international trade with technical expertise and practical support. Not just with buying or selling, but also with everything that needs to be arranged afterwards.
Godfried Heinhuis laid the foundations for our family business. In the 1990s, the company began trading in trucks and accessories. The range continued to expand: construction machinery, trailers and other types of heavy equipment were added. This is how Heinhuis developed into a versatile trading company for transport and construction.
An important step followed in 2017 with the purchase of the business complex at Darwin 16 on the XL Businesspark in Almelo. The spacious site provided room for our company to grow and remains our home base today.
Behind every vehicle there is more than just a price tag. Its technical condition, the required documents and the transport are just as important. That is why our services go beyond bringing supply and demand together.
With our own workshop, mechanics and drivers, we have a wealth of knowledge and capabilities in-house. We carry out technical inspections, valuations and repairs, and take care of export documentation and transport. This allows us to coordinate different parts of the process without you having to engage a different party each time.
Our business crosses borders, but we like to keep communication direct. Whether you want to sell a single vehicle, are looking for a specific machine or need export support: we’ll discuss what you need and what services we can provide. Our experience in international buying and selling helps with every step, from the first enquiry to the final transport.
Our site continues to develop as well. In 2025, work began on an expansion of our business premises in Almelo. The additional space will provide greater capacity for our activities and for Heinhuis's continued development. This is how the next step for our international trading company is once again taking shape in Almelo.
With the third generation now part of the company, our family story continues too. We aim to keep growing while preserving personal contact and commitment to our work. Building on what is already in place, with an eye to what may be possible tomorrow.
